Bullying leads to SUICIDE….

School is back in, for most children it is a time of joy – seeing their friends again, meeting their new teacher, looking forward to the learning ahead.  For some though, going back to school marks absolute Terror & Fear!!!

Bullying in our schools is REAL, and it can lead to suicide.

  • Why are studies and reports in Canada dated 2003 & 2007?
  • Why are we not speaking openly and honestly about this?
  • Are YOU doing everything you can to watch the signals with your children?

This is a VERY POWERFUL video that tells the story of bullying and how it can easily lead to an attempt or an actual suicide!

In Calgary – YOU can learn how to tell the signs and learn about Youth Suicide Intervention through the Centre For Suicide Prevention

If YOU or someone YOU know needs someone to talk to you can call the 24 hour Crisis Line at Distress Centre 403.266.1605

If YOU are not in Calgary do a Google search for “Crisis Lines …..” your city.

Here is a Link to a new Canadian website designed in response to the Bullying

    http://www.stopbullyingincanadianschools.com/index.html

They also have a Facebook Page
    http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=121758771212586

Their Facebook group has grown to 158 members. The title of the group – and of this website – specifically refers to Canadian schools because that’s where the movers and shakers behind the group and the webpage reside.

    Cheers
