Inspired by movies such as “Pay it Forward” and “Evan Almighty” Lee is committed to empowering you to be grateful, give back and pay it forward.
ARK
In the movie Evan Almighty, ARK is A Random act of Kindness. Lee is committed to ARK’s on a daily basis and encourages others to do the same, simple ARK’s that you can do any time, any day, anwhere:
- Have inspirational quote cards in your purse or wallet, give one to a stranger and see their smile!
- Leave the quarter or dollar in the shopping cart.
- Give the sales clerk at the checkout till a compliment – use their name!
- Give a stranger a huge.. ask for permission first… you can even do this on Twitter, facebook – give a virtual hug.
Generosity
Generosity is not just about giving monetarily; it is also about giving of your time, energy and spirit. True generosity is when you give with out expecting anything in return. A few Generosity ideas for you:
- Talk with your child about asking for donations (clothing etc) for a charity instead of receiving gifts for their birthday.
- Make the time to be there for a friend in need.
- Volunteer at a charitable event, a homeless shelter, food bank drives…
- Donate a product, service or gift to a charity or charitable event.
Pay it Forward
An incredible movie that tells the story of a young boy with a dream, Pay it Forward is about giving something with the intention of creating a movement of generosity. A few ideas for you:
- That great book you just read, pass it on to another person and ask them to Pay it Forward to someone else when they are finished.
- Give a person a compliment; ask them to Pay it Forward by giving another person a compliment.
- Smile at a stranger, it could make someone’s day and they will more than likely pay it forward and smile at someone else.
